Possibly too goofy for our own good...

The other day Martin and I attempted to take engagement pictures, but for some reason we couldn't be serious enough to get anything that will actually work. Haha Bailey just needed to crack the whip a little harder and make us pose for real. Oh well. We'll just have to go out again... or use these ones :)

I'd rather help pack than get beat up by beans...

Looks picturesque doesn't it? Yeah well don't be fooled.

I'd actually really like to stomp all over these dumb plants. But I'm not going to because it would only make my life miserable.

SO. Two Thursdays ago I got a call from the old pea field boss. We got done with the pea field in mid August, but there are some bean fields that still havent been harvested. So my boss Jeff asked me if I would like to come work in the bean fields for a few days. I hadn't gotten a new job yet so I figured hey, why not? I could use some money. So I told him I would and went out the next morning to the blessed bean field. Well it turns out the bean field is actually not blessed at all. It's actually the opposite. Turns out I am allergic to bean plants... and when you spend a whole week walking in them, pulling them out with your arms down in the midst of them, and sitting down surrounded by them, you get millions of hives all up and down your arms and legs. I thought they would go away after two days off but no. They're still here and they still itch like crazy. And no, I can't wear long sleeves and pants because it is actually still really hot out in the middle of the day and I would probably have a heat stroke. So, consequently I am going to show up to work on Monday and explain to my boss that it's not healthy for me to work out there, show him my disgusting arms and legs, and then quit. But you know what? That's okay with me because not only did I have an allergic reaction, but I was working out there ALONE. No crew. Just me. And after 5 days of having no one to talk to and doing monotaneous, boring bean field stuff I'm ready to call it quits. It is definitely not the job for me. Not the highest picture quality but this gives you a little taste of what both of my entire legs and arms look like right now. Notice the short line? Haha.

So, now I get to stay home for a few days while I work on getting a different job, and help pack the house. Mom and Dad decided it was time to leave the noisy high way in our backyard and let someone else have it while we went and lived on the lake. Can you say heck yes?? Haha It's about time! So this is what I get to spend the rest of the month looking at, making more of, and moving....

I aspire to be brown...

So the pea field has done wonders when it comes to my skin color. Normally it is WHITE. I'm not going to show pictures of that because it's just sad. However I WILL show you how I look now compared to those around me. Prepare to be amazed.... only downfall? I'll probably get skin cancer. oh well.

5th of July

So 4th of July was cool and everything but I didn't really do anything special except for hang out with Bailey in the snoshack (which Bailey has pictures of that I need to steal...) watch the city fireworks show.... BUT the 5th of July was pretty dang AMAZING:) Kammie, Deidra, Jill, Bailey and I went to Quincy where we met up with some friends and went to Cresent Ridge, which is this super fancy resort condo-ish place for rich seattle people. They had this fireworks show that was seriously the coolest thing I've ever seen. We layed on the grass and these GIGANTIC fireworks were shot off like right above us, and then the sound would echo down the canyon walls, it was sooo amazing. I loved every moment of it.

This was the group
I'm not really sure who the random person standing up in the background is though... maybe I just wasn't introduced?
After the fireworks we drove up to Monument Hill and once again THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER. The drive was super fun... haha 9 of us crammed into Kelly's pickup and drove forever on this dirt road to get to this place. There was this part of the road that was like a roller coaster and i'm not gonna lie I probably should have been fearing for my life because Kelly was going so fast, but it was a BLAST:) Then when we got to the top of the hill I believe I came to an even greater understanding of why the Basin is "Celestial" THE STARS WERE INCREDIBLE. There were no lights anywhere except for the sky... sad story though, no Joe to cuddle with :(... Anyway then we drove past this creepy house and Stace told some scary alien stories somewhere in there... and we ended the night at the park playing on the toys. So basically what i'm trying to say is: First time hanging out in QUINCY WAS... FABULOUS.
