Valentine's Day Cookies

My mom and I made some sugar cookies for her YW for Valentine's Day. I think they turned out pretty cute so I thought I'd share them with you :)

This was one of my favorites...

And here's the beautiful flowers Martin got me. Just thought I'd throw those in there :)

Japan Airlines -- the 747

The other day the youth in my family's ward took a tour of the 747 at JAL. It's the biggest airplane in the world flying right now. Needless to say, Martin and I thought it would be fun to join them. So we did. And it was pretty impressive. Here are some pictures so you can see just how massive this thing was...

We took some pictures sitting in the engine...

This was in first class. Note the difference between how far down Gavin could lay in the chair vs how far down Martin could lay... haha

This was looking out the window at the wing...

This was buisness class...

And this was coach...

These were some of the sleeping areas for the flight attendants. Martin barely fit. His toes and head both touched the ends. I couldn't stand back far enough to get that in the camera though...

This is the cock pit. Pretty fancy.

This is the outside, it's so huge that it was hard to get a picture to show just how big it was... haha

Anyway, fun times :)

In honor of February

My parents love each other :)

Portland Trip

On the 31st of January, Martin and I went on a trip to Portland, OR. Woohoo! Haha I bought him tickets to a Trailblazers game for Christmas and he was nice enough to take me :) Since it's like a 4 hour trip we left Moses at about 7 am. We got there just in time for lunch and ate at Olive Garden, courtesy of my parents. It was delicious and Martin even ventured to try something new! Haha he was willing to give up the seafood alfredo for one trip. After that we went to the Classical Chinese Gardens and it was beautiful. Here are some pictures of that.... Martin thought this would be funny... haha I love this picture! Since it was the Chinese New Year they had a special little dragon dance. I love Martin :) After that we went to the mall and walked around for a while. I stumbled upon this lovely and decided to get it for Kyndra. I'm a pretty big fan of it. Then we headed off to the game and messed around outside the Rose Garden for a while. Kisses for Brandon Roy :) haha
Then we waited in line forever and got inside and watched Kyle Korver warm up.

Then of course poor Martin had to sit behind this girl that was just a little bit too big for the seat. This was his view: (notice the where the shoulders of the man sitting to her left are)

I'm pretty sure she was sitting on the arm rests. Consequently Martin was leaning every which way trying to see during the whole game. I told him we could switch seats, but he wouldn't. Oh well. Go figure.
Anyway so that was our trip. Trailblazers won which was fabulous. We drove home right after and kept ourselves awake with Mountain Dew, Excedrin, and name that tune games. Haha we didn't get home till about 2:30-3:00 in the morning. I'm pretty sure both of us were exhausted.

Happy February!

I just love February :)
